I always remember when Alan and I were first married and had bought our first house in Holt Farm Way. It had quite a small garden and was a blank canvas really with not many plants. Milly and Mike would come down at the weekend and bring all their gardening tools and equipment and would set to work in the garden, donating many plants and cuttings from their own garden. Mike had an eye for what would look good and where it should go. He really enjoyed gardening too. He worked wonders on our garden, digging borders and planting shrubs and he made it beautiful.
